Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC) (www.ibcminot.org) is seeking a Youth Pastor to serve God and to show Jesus Christ to others!

PURPOSE of our Youth Pastor: We’re seeking someone who feels called to be “all in” in order to “go all out” to reach the youth in our medium-sized community of about 50,000 that continues to rapidly grow.

JOB SUMMARY: The Youth Pastor will be responsible to the senior pastor for the overall development and implementation of programs/efforts that both reach and disciple students at Immanuel Baptist Church. This position will prepare and teach weekly Bible studies and lead our youth group with the help of volunteers.

The youth pastor also will plan, organize, and schedule regular outreach events.

This position will also be responsible for planning and implementing regular ministry activities.

REPORTING STRUCTURE: This position is a direct report to the senior pastor.

DUTIES:

• Develop a vision for discipling and reaching students for Jesus based on our beliefs and goals.
• Coordinate with other youth ministries for cooperation and alignment.
• Prepare and teach Sunday morning to the youth group.
• Plan and implement a midweek outreach service, which is aimed at bringing in youth from the community.
• Prepare a lesson for a weekly Bible study with the purpose of sharing the Gospel by addressing issues that students face daily.
• Coordinate a youth missions trip including an effective way of training the students for missions prior to the trip.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly outreach events to establish relationships with the youth of the community.
• Organize and distribute a monthly calendar of events to inform students and parents of upcoming events.
• Develop relationships with students and parents.
• Schedule occasional meetings with other youth workers to help support the group.
• Develop a Youth program budget with the Trustees.
• Other responsibilities deemed necessary by senior pastor.

WORK HOURS:

Four days a week with a day of rest, full-time.

• Out of office meeting students
• Attending school functions

In addition to the work hours the youth pastor will attend the following:

Various special church events and ministries

• Option to help connect with young adults and returning college students.
• Planning meetings with the staff
• One Friday/Saturday “Big Event” each month
