The Community Church of Moab, located where “Adventure Begins”, is looking for a youth pastor to facilitate the growth of the Kingdom of God by building relationships with youth and families. 

Professional/Character Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Must have a devout personal and growing faith in Christ Jesus.
• Prefer to have Bible college, campus ministry, and/or a graduate theological degree
• Prefer previous administrative experience
• Proven relational skills with both youth and parents
• Ability to explain the gospel in language attractive to youth
• Ability to maintain confidentiality but also follow mandatory reporting policies

Detailed Description:

• Guide the spiritual formation of the congregation through teaching and leadership. 
• Work with the Christian Education Board or other 
• Lead and participate in discipleship programs for K-12
• Set goals and execute a plan to develop faith
• Organize programs and events for families in the congregation
• Help with established programs (VBS and Awana)
• Outreach to unchurched children and parents
• Communicate the vision and ministry to the church and community of Moab
• Participate in Sunday morning programming (Worship service, Youth Class) 
• Prefer someone who enjoys outdoor recreation in Moab
• Mission projects

Benefits:

• Salary: $40,000- 60,000
• 40 hours/week with possible exceptions for camps and overnight trips
