Position Summary
The Young Adults Director will provide leadership, vision, and direction for Foothills Bible Church’s
ministry to those in the post-high school through early marriage stage (prior to having children). This
is a new role, designed to shepherd and disciple a growing group of young adults while building
momentum, structure, and long-term growth.

The ideal candidate will be a young, passionate leader who loves to start and build ministries,
cultivate teams, and see God do great things in people’s lives. This leader will create environments
that foster authentic relationships, inspire spiritual growth, and equip young adults to live on
mission.

Primary Responsibilities
Build relational connections
• Develop strong relationships with young adults through personal engagement and presence.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that helps new people quickly connect and belong.
• Shepherd young adults by investing relationally, both in large gatherings and one-on-one
discipleship.

Cast Vision and Develop Ministry Strategy
• Design and implement a strategic plan for the Young Adults Ministry in alignment with FBC’s
W2/G2/S2 discipleship pathway.
• Create regular connection points: large gatherings, small groups, social events, and service
opportunities.
• Integrate young adults into the life and mission of the church.
Recruit and Equip Leaders
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteer leaders who can lead small groups, coordinate events, and
disciple peers.
• Develop a culture of shared ownership where no one leads alone.
• Provide encouragement, coaching, and accountability for ministry volunteers.

Teach and Facilitate Biblical Learning
• Lead biblically grounded, relevant discussions that address real-life issues facing young adults.
• Equip young adults to apply God’s Word in their daily lives and live as witnesses for Christ.

Plan and execute ministry events
• Organize and execute events, retreats, and outreach opportunities that promote community and
spiritual growth.
• Ensure all events align with discipleship goals and create onramps for new participants.
Collaborate Across Ministries
• Partner with Student Ministry for smooth transition of graduating high school seniors into Young
Adults Ministry.
• Work with Communications to promote gatherings and events effectively.
• Steward budget and resources wisely.

Preferred Strengths
Experience and education
• 2+ years of ministry involvement, preferably with young adults or in a similar age group.
• Strong relational skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of personalities.
• Demonstrated ability to start and build ministries or programs.
• Bible college or seminary training (in process) preferred but not required.

Accountability
This position reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministry and is a member of the ministry leadership
team.
