WORSHIP AND TEACHING PASTOR

Encounter Church Denver (EC) is looking for a Spirit-filled, dynamic Worship and Teaching Pastor (full-time) to lead all aspects of the EC music worship program. This position ensures the continuing progress and enhancement of the diverse music styles used throughout EC services and ministries to assure the integration of vocal, instrumental, special music, and drama into a meaningful worship experience, and also works to foster discipleship and spiritual maturity by developing and implementing programs in partnership with other ministry leaders. Candidate will provide sound biblical teaching and preaching that engages and nurtures the spiritual growth of the congregation. Teaching responsibilities will be as part of a team and assigned as needed by the Lead Pastor.

The Worship and Teaching Pastor will provide leadership to worship and praise needs of respective peripheral EC ministries, interfacing with subordinates and department leaders to develop, coordinate, and provide Fine Arts support to pastors and lay leaders of each ministry. Will supervise the worship team and provide leadership to volunteers in the music program at EC, which includes recruitment and development of volunteers. Will also provide pastoral support and leadership to department and volunteers in the EC music ministry.

This position requires advanced knowledge of music, including composing, arranging, and scoring, and also the ability to coordinate and conduct multiple aspects of musical production. Understanding, influencing, and serving people are important elements of this position. Skills in playing a minimum of one instrument and strong vocal music training are required. Schedule: Full time, Sun – Thurs, 40 hours/week (exempt). Salary range: $60,000 – $72,000. Salary commensurate with experience.
