About Us:
Refresh is a vibrant and growing mid-size church committed to having a powerful and inspirational worship experience that engages the congregation as a family to focus on glorifying Jesus.
Refresh started in September of 2021 and has grown to over 400 in average weekly attendance in two services after just 2.5 years. Refresh has seen its vision statement, “Every person refreshed, every purpose discovered,” become the reality of many at the church. The people of Refresh are incredibly kind, generous, and committed. With over 50% of our adults in small groups and nearly two-thirds of the church serving, we are in need of great leadership to develop team members and build team leads.
The church is currently seeking to add a worship leader/pastor to our incredible staff. With an amazing serve team and a strong budget to do ministry, this is an incredible opportunity to join a healthy and growing church.
About Meridian Idaho:
The Treasure Valley (Boise metro) boasts some of the best outdoor activities in the country. With a moderate climate with four seasons, you can ski, hunt, fish, camp, or hike without leaving the region. In addition to outdoor activities, there are plenty of sports, arts, and entertainment available. Boise State is the largest university in the state and provides many recreational activities to those in the area. Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Sacramento are all a day’s drive or less from the Treasure Valley.
About Pastor T.J.:
Pastor T.J. is a seasoned leader, gifted communicator, and passionate builder of God’s people. His leadership style is empowering with a keen desire to pursue excellence in everything he does. With over a decade of experience as a Lead Pastor, he is equipped to lead Refresh into the next phase of its ministry. Pastor T.J. is an easy leader to follow and work alongside due to his calm demeanor and desire to coach others to their success.
He and his wife, Leah, have 4 amazing kids ranging from 17-8 in age. Each of them utilizes their gifts while serving in the church regularly. Originally from Florida, the Hankey family made the move to Idaho in August of 2020 with the sole purpose of starting Refresh Church. They knew no one upon their arrival but soon built a strong launch team and staff. After launching Refresh they’ve seen people’s lives continually changed by the gospel of Jesus.

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Worship Leader to join our team and lead our congregation in meaningful and impactful worship experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for God, a heart for leading others in worship, a desire to develop team members, and proficiency in modern worship styles.
Responsibilities:
Lead worship during weekly Sunday services, special events, and other gatherings.
Recruit, coordinate, and rehearse with the worship team, including tech, musicians, and vocalists.
Select and arrange music that aligns with the message and theme of each service.
Cultivate a spirit of worship and engagement among the congregation.
Collaborate with the pastor and other church leaders to plan and execute worship services.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering growth and development.
Train, schedule, and develop team members on the production teams (Sound, video, lighting).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong musical abilities, including proficiency in playing an instrument (guitar, keyboard, etc.) and leading vocalists.
Experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting, with a focus on modern music styles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
A deep understanding of worship theology and a commitment to creating meaningful worship experiences.
Flexibility and adaptability to work within a team environment and respond to the needs of the congregation.
Proficiency in necessary technologies like PCO, Ableton, multitrack, etc.
A strong vision for the sound, video, and lighting departments of the church.
Exhibit a passion for and execution of leadership values.
