The ideal candidate will:

• Have a growing relationship with Jesus and a heart for the local church. During the hiring process, this will be evaluated through a discussion of the candidate’s spiritual journey and how they see their role in the local church.
• Relate well to others and build effective relationships.
• Demonstrate a teachable, caring, and compassionate spirit.
• Possess a passion for worship and a humble, team-oriented attitude.
• Uphold the unity of the church.
• Exhibit a Christ-like attitude in interactions with church staff, volunteers, and the congregation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Music Leadership:
  • Lead worship effectively as a musician and vocalist.
  • Play an instrument proficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate all musical elements of the worship experience, including selecting songs, arranging music, and collaborating with team members to enhance the worship experience.
  • Prepare music that aligns with the current style of the church while envisioning new directions for worship.
• Technical Skills:
  • Be proficient in ProPresenter or willing to undergo training to develop this skill.
  • Have knowledge of sound equipment and the ability to mix sound effectively.
• Congregational Engagement:
  • Engage with the congregation on Sundays by being present for the sermon, socializing after service, and joining community activities like lunch when possible.
• Team Development:
  • Develop a Christ-centered worship culture.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure worship services reflect the mission and vision of the church.
  • Recruit and train new production team members (e.g., sound, video/livestream, and ProPresenter users). The church will provide initial guidance and ongoing support to assist in building and strengthening the production team.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and check-ins.
