At:                         The Light of Christ Anglican Church (TLC), Denver, CO 80219

Hours:                  32 hours/week

Salary Range:     $49,000—$53,000 a year (there is relocation assistance where applicable)

 

Are you a gifted worship leader who also desires to serve as an associate pastor, who has a specific intention for women’s ministries, and who also seeks to assist the Sr. Pastor in general pastoral leadership? Candidates who are or desire to be ordained as a deacon in the Anglican Church are strongly encouraged to apply.

Our Church

We are a generationally and ethnically diverse church in Denver’s Harvey Park neighborhood. Planted in 2000, we are an Anglican church in the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains. Our weekly attendance averages 170 between two services.

Job Description

  • Good chemistry with Pastor Donald for co-leading various aspects of the ministry

Key Responsibilities (Worship leading)

TLC has two services each Sunday. The first begins at 8am and the second at 10am.

  • Lead worship at our worship services
  • Select songs that are theologically sound, congregationally inspiring, and liturgically sensitive
  • Build the music slideshows on ProPresenter for each service
  • Work closely with the Sr. Pastor in planning worship services to enhance harmony and flow
  • Train, recruit, and coordinate volunteer teams for Sunday worship experience, including Scripture readers, tech, and musicians
  • Supervise interns and volunteers in worship-related responsibilities
  • Lead worship in the church’s occasional programs outside of Sunday mornings (for example, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services, occasional fellowship services, and funerals)
  • Manage worship-related media
  • Oversee setup and teardown of musical infrastructure when necessary

Key Responsibilities (Pastoral Associate)

  • Assist the Sr. Pastor in leadership and implementation of the church’s ministry vision
  • Be a pastoral presence for our women through pastoral care
  • Oversee TLC’s ministry to women
  • Support the small groups ministry
  • Other tasks as determined by interest and gifting or assigned by the Sr. Pastor

 

Qualifications

  • A clear testimony of humble and vibrant faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Two or more years of experience leading worship or as a significant member of a worship team
  • Basic experience with sound infrastructure is a plus
  • A healthy understanding of, and relationship with, authority
  • An appreciation for the Anglican way of worship. You do not have to be already Anglican to apply, but the willingness to embrace the Anglican tradition is necessary in this role

 

Candidates with a range of experience are encouraged to apply. Mentoring and coaching in areas of growth will be an expectation of the role.
