Scope of the Home

Love INC’s Restorative Home (LINC House) represents a unique strategy of Love INC which combats homelessness, drug addiction, domestic violence, and other struggles of women in Central Montana. The LINC House primarily serves women in the Central Montana tri-county area (Fergus, Petroleum, and Judith Basin). Other applicants outside the area will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The hope is to give women a chance to rebuild their lives while residing at LINC House, whether that stay spans 30 days or 12 months. The house is set up to serve up to seven women at a time. Each resident has a separate bedroom, with communal living space available to all. The LINC House is a Life INC ministry of Love INC, and as such, women will benefit from mentoring, life skill classes, connection to a local church, and a fuller understanding of healthy life processes that solidify sound decision-making.

Individuals who wish to apply to LINC House must first contact Love INC’s Clearinghouse (call center). A potential applicant must become a Love INC client and work through the entirety of the intake process before being considered. If an agency, church, or individual wishes to refer someone to the program, they can do so by contacting the Love INC Clearinghouse.

Additionally, LINC House would consider an emergency placement, but the referral must come from a local church pastor. Emergency placements will be reviewed by the LINC House Director, the Love INC Executive Director, and one person from the LINC House Advisory Committee. A majority vote is needed to move forward with a placement. Emergency placements will last between 24-48 hours.

About the Ministry

One congregation cannot meet all the needs of women in transition in our area, whether that transition is due to domestic violence, prolonged homelessness, displacement, etc. Therefore, our impact is directly related to each partner church’s willingness to enter into a collaborative partnership with one another, across denominational lines. When churches partner and serve others as the Church, Christ is glorified and transformation comes to life. Church members partnering to form Love INC Care Communities to wrap around these women is a vital part of our process and success. Further resources will be developed within local congregations to serve the residents of LINC House.

Although the ministry model of The LINC House is constant, the opportunities to be creative in helping participants reach their goals are endless. Throughout this model, empowerment is nurtured and the participant’s dignity and right to personal choice is respected. Overall, the love of Christ is our driving force, goal, and aim. We pray that the women at LINC House will come face to face with the gospel message of Jesus, and with his Church, and will tangibly experience Love In the Name of Christ.
