Do you want to teach and lead teens and young adults in executive skills such as: planning ahead, problem-solving, regulating their thoughts and feelings and engaging with others in healthy ways?

Do you love the idea of sharing education in the faith community, using integrated Biblical guides? Our curriculum is designed to build on existing strengths of youth and equip them with the tools they need to make healthy informed decisions.

We are looking for someone who can promote our program in the community, to schools and churches, and teach students from middle school through young adults.

Education/Experience Requirements:

· Demonstrated ability to engage, educate and manage teens in a classroom setting.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of diverse audiences.

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s or Associate degree. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

· Knowledge of internal school practices, procedures, and standards.

· One to two years of community focused work and customer service/sales experience.

· One to two years of teaching experience.

· Ability to effectively teach students in English and Spanish.

Skills and Attitude:

· Strong speaking and presentation skills

· Has a positive perspective of youth and enjoys being around them.

· Showcase creativity and networking ability by promoting educational resources to meet varied needs of partners.

· Practices servant leadership and functions with a Christ-like love in professional and personal affairs.

· Works well independently and with little to no supervision.

· Must be collaborative, teachable and dependable.

· Proven ability to foresee needs and prioritize deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Training and Consultation:

· Co-facilitate training for APF instructor staff, volunteers, and community partners.

· Engage in regular dialogue and consultation with schools/community partners implementing the curriculum in various settings.

· Develop innovative strategies to aid in the fidelity of program delivery by school/community partners along with Program Director and Staff Instructor(s).

· Facilitate discovery and information meetings with schools/community partners on behalf of APF.

· Serve as a communication liaison between school/community partners.

Teaching & Community work:

· Exemplify understanding of curriculum and ability to teach and instruct students.

· Implement APF educational resources as appropriate for the audience.

· Attend tabling and fair events hosted by school/community partners.

· Provides information to Administrative Coordinator on potential teaching dates for school and community partners.

Administrative:

· Maintain consistent high-quality communication with APF team, schools, and community partners.

· Work closely with APF Administrative Coordinator to administer, collect and record data, including but not limited to recording attendance, incentives, surveys and student feedback, meeting records, and presenter invitations.

· Coordinate with the Volunteer Development Manager and the communications department to ensure all necessary materials are ready for training, classroom instruction and various meetings.

· Provide lesson plan feedback and/or ideas to Program Director for the continual improvement of APF resources.
