Student Ministry Director

Location: Denver, CO
Hours: 12hrs/week
Compensation: $20-24/hr plus benefits

Description:
We’re looking for someone to oversee our Student Ministry (6th–12th grade). We’re a small-ish church (150–200 people on a Sunday) and have about 15 students in this ministry. We love providing a weekly gathering for our students to hear teaching relevant to their age and stage, and we think it’s important that students have a space to come together to build community with one another and to discuss faith and life. But equally important to us is the one-on-one discipleship possible with our small number of students. We’re looking for a Student Ministry Director who is passionate about investing in students’ lives and being a mentor figure to them as they navigate the often tumultuous teen years!

Responsibilities:
-Oversee all Student Ministry programming, including weekly gatherings and occasional events

-Invest in relationships with students and parents

-Oversee Student Ministry volunteers (recruiting, training, appreciating, etc.)

-Complete general all-staff duties: emails, staff meetings and retreats, expense reports, building responsibilities, etc.

Job Qualifications:
-Spiritual maturity and above-reproach character

-Synergy with the theology, ethos, and culture of New Denver Church

-Strong self-awareness about personality traits, gifting, and skill competence

-Regular attendance in NDC worship service, discipleship groups, & events

-Assertiveness and initiative

-Relates well to 6th–12th grade students and their parents
