ABOUT HOPE CITY COMMUNITY CHURCH

Hope City Community Church in El Paso, TX, is a thriving non-denominational congregation on an exciting trajectory. With an average weekend attendance of 1,100 people, the church is witnessing real momentum — so much so that this year it launched a third worship service to accommodate its rapid growth. This expansion reflects the energy of a community truly alive and spiritually hungry, and it signals a season of increase and opportunity for staff who want to be part of something dynamic.

Hope City is driven by a clear, Bible-centered mission: to see the lost found and the found set free—calling people to salvation and leading them into a life of spiritual growth and freedom in Christ. At the heart of this mission are five core values that guide everything the church does. Hope finds people, they are passionate about outreach and evangelism, sharing the Gospel with both neighbors and newcomers. Hope brings change through discipleship, helping individuals grow and be transformed by Christ. Hope serves others by mobilizing teams to meet needs and make real impact. Hope builds community, the church fosters belonging and authentic relationships in its Community Groups. And finally, Hope gives extravagantly, encouraging giving of time, talent, and treasure to further God’s work.

Hope City represents a place where vision meets vitality. Their grand vision, to reach 40,000 people in El Paso and beyond drives everything they do. From outreach efforts that introduce people to Jesus, to transformational discipleship programs, to community groups and generous giving, there’s a strong rhythm of service, connection, and spiritual growth. Hope City is a place where staff and leaders get to be part of something dynamic, forward-moving, and deeply impactful. From a strong leadership team to a culture of service to a rapidly expanding congregation, this is a church where ministry leaders can thrive, innovate, and help shape the next chapter of a growing, hope-filled movement in one of the nation’s most unique and diverse cities.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

At Hope City Community Church, we believe the next generation is not just the future of the church—they are the church right now. We are prayerfully seeking a Student Ministry Director who will shepherd middle and high school students with wisdom, relational warmth, and gospel-centered intentionality. This leader will guide students toward becoming lifelong followers of Jesus while also equipping and encouraging the parents who disciple them at home. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, create life-giving environments, and inspire students to know, love, and follow Christ.

WHO WE LOOKING FOR

We’re searching for a leader who is both pastorally grounded and energetically engaging—someone who connects naturally with students, parents, and volunteers. The ideal candidate is a builder, ready to take an already solid and successful student ministry and help lead it into its next season of growth, health, and impact. • Skill (competence and excellence in ministry and leadership), and
    • Charge the Hill (courage, drive, and a bias toward action).

We need someone who thrives in a high-trust, high-accountability environment, works joyfully with a team, and brings creativity, energy, and spiritual maturity to the next generation.

THE ROLE

The Student Ministry Director will lead with vision and intentionality—developing strong weekly gatherings, Bible studies, small groups, camps, events, and outreach opportunities. They will disciple students, train leaders, partner with parents, create community, and ensure every student has a clear pathway from attending to belonging to becoming a fully committed follower of Jesus. This role includes shepherding students through life’s challenges, preaching and teaching, building healthy relationships, shaping curriculum, and mobilizing students to serve and live out their faith.

Most of all, we are seeking someone who loves Jesus deeply, loves students authentically, and loves seeing families strengthened through biblical discipleship.
