AFN STAFF MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION – WEEKEND SHIFTS

Art for the Nations is a nonprofit Christian organization founded to spread the joy of creating. We give bags of art supplies to any group or individual working with underprivileged children, and are looking for someone to join our staff a few days per month. Staff members work as guides with our volunteers in the preparation of art bags, interact with customers of our retail boutique to inform them of our organization, products, and how boutique sales support our mission, answer phones and emails, fulfill bag requests, restock art supplies, and much more! We’re looking for a cheerful addition to our crew to help us in the endeavor of,

“Joyfully giving the children of our Creator the chance to be creative!”

 

In order to work at AFN:

  • Have a cheerful attitude and work well with others, reflecting Christ in all you do.
  • Be 18 Years and older.
  • Be able to work with and lead groups and individual volunteers of all ages. This involves instructing them on how to paint and fill bags of art supplies that we give for free to anyone who is working with underprivileged children.
  • Restocking shelves with art supplies as needed.
  • Encourage boutique sales and be able to explain to walk-ins the purpose of our non-profit and how the boutique helps fund it.
  • Check emails and answer phone, responding to anyone with questions about volunteering or picking up bags.
  • Ship bags of art supplies to whoever in the U.S. is unable to pick them up at our location.

*Creative and sewing skills a plus, to help make things to sell in boutique.

*Ideal candidate is available for weekend shifts with flexibility Wed- Friday for coverage as needed.
