Recruiting Consultant
The Company:
Matchstick is a different kind of recruiting firm. We partner with businesses to source quality candidates and look beyond mere placement to serve as a consultant, advisor, and ally in the process. With a business model that prioritizes best-fit candidates, we assess based on competency, character, and cultural fit in alignment with our client companies. Employee turnover causes costly disruption in a business; with our thorough vetting and client-centric focus, we find candidates who have longevity and a desire to invest in and build their careers for the long-term.
Beyond recruiting, we work with businesses to assess where they are, where they are going, and what stands in the way of achieving their vision. We function as an objective third-party that can offer honest feedback, as well as a trusted extension of their current team. Growing businesses is our business, and we love it.
The Position:
The Recruiting Consultant is the engine driving the majority of candidate and client facing interactions for Matchstick. This position is part detective, influencer, counselor, strategist, and salesperson in a single role.
Recruiting Consultants help clients understand their unique staffing needs and launch position searches accordingly. Amidst recruiting, they also serve as an advisor and intermediary throughout the process. They source candidates through active and passive channels, conduct interviews, coordinate the hiring process, negotiate salaries, and stay in touch with placed candidates to promote longevity with client companies.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced position with flexibility and autonomy. Recruiting Consultants have the ability to build their own schedule and manage accounts with creativity and personality. As a strategic partner in the hiring process, they get to participate in the important work of building teams and businesses and helping individuals find new positions where they can grow and thrive for the long term.
