Overview

We are a small, conservative town, located just outside of Sherman, TX and we are seeking a dedicated Part Time Pastor to lead our congregation. The ideal candidate will embrace our conservative Wesleyan beliefs and will be capable of providing guidance, support, and inspiration to individuals and families within the church. This role involves not only preaching and teaching but also offering bereavement support, mentoring, and crisis management in our community as needed. It is our desire and goal for this to lead into a Full Time position as our church grows.

Duties

Deliver Bible-based sermons that educate and inspire the congregation.
Provide pastoral care, including bereavement support and counseling as needed.
Lead church events, including Sunday morning worship services, community outreach programs, and, occasionally, special ceremonies.
Mentor church members in their spiritual journeys and personal development.
Manage conflicts within the congregation with sensitivity and professionalism.
Communicate effectively with church staff, volunteers, and the community at large.

Requirements

Basic leadership skills and conservative Wesleyan (or similar) beliefs.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to mentor individuals and families in the church.
A deep commitment to serving others with compassion and integrity.
Strong conflict management skills to navigate sensitive situations within the congregation.
A theological degree or equivalent experience is desirable, but Bible School and/or Seminary students are welcome and are encouraged to apply.
