Purpose

The Youth Leader will cultivate a Christ-centered community among our middle school and high school students by leading regular gatherings, fostering discipleship relationships, and working with volunteer leaders. This role exists to support the mission of Grace and Peace Church to form spiritually mature disciples of Jesus Christ, with a special focus on the next generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead regular youth gatherings for middle and high school students (typically one Sunday per month)
• Build meaningful discipleship relationships with students through regular communication and one-on-one meetings
• Lead and coordinate volunteers to engage students and lead discipleship relationships
• Communicate with parents and church leadership as needed
• Participate in leadership development and planning meetings as needed

Qualifications

• A serious and mature Christian with a demonstrated walk of faith
• Responsible, reliable, and self-motivated
• Strong relational skills with youth and adults
• Capable of leading thoughtful, biblically grounded discussions
• Passion for working with young people and helping them grow in faith
• Humble and willing to learn
• Currently studying for or exploring a call to vocational ministry (preferred)

Internship Opportunity

This position can be structured to fulfill internship requirements for a ministry degree program. We welcome candidates who are discerning a call to church leadership and looking for hands-on experience in youth ministry within a supportive church environment.
