Thrive is all about jobs. We train and coach job seekers to help them overcome barriers and secure a good job so they can be economically stable and self-sufficient. Our job search training is provided on-demand through our learning platform. Participants who complete the workshop are eligible for coaching, meeting weekly in a group of peers with two coaches for up to four months.

The Position:

As the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission by planning, managing, and delivering our job search training content. The successful candidate will be energetic, organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter to effectively initiate creative and engaging programming, with a strong background in program operations within the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to develop programming plans aimed at increasing participation in our program and particularly our on demand job search training.
  • Conduct on-going needs assessments and program evaluations to identify opportunities for program enhancement and expansion.
  • Develop and refine program strategies, ensuring they are responsive to the evolving needs of the community.

Managing / Leading

  • Ensure that the lead generation funnel is effective at providing qualified leads from both online marketing and community partners.
  • Manage initial video interviewing and screening through Willo and live eligibility interviews.
  • Oversee Thrive’s learning management system for delivering on-demand programming.
  • Lead the development of mutually accountable strategic relationships with community partners.
  • Lead, mentor and inspire the program team to ensure effective recruitment of job seekers and delivery of high-quality services.
  • Determine program guidelines and policies regarding such issues as participant eligibility, program requirements, and program benefits.

Delivering / Presenting

  • Represent Thrive as a knowledgeable liaison to the community while promoting awareness to potential participants and community partners.
  • Develop content for continual improvement of Thrive’s employment support workshops.
  • Directly manage the enrollment and progress of participants through the on-demand training modules.
  • Present training material in occasional workshops at community partner sites.

Reporting / Tracking

  • Implement and maintain data-driven decision-making processes using Salesforce to track program metrics, measure outcomes, and improve program effectiveness.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Executive Director, Board, and donors on program outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of and/or experience working with unemployed, underemployed, ex-offender, low-income, and recovering populations.
  • Must be adept with technology and integrating data across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with learning management software.
  • Experience in Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management system.
  • Demonstrated networking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and data skills.
  • Emotional intelligence to interact with volunteers, members, and colleagues with diplomacy and tact.
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude and initiative.
  • Highly reliable, organized, responsible and committed to Thrive’s mission.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Strong commitment to the Christian faith.

Salary & Benefits:
