WHY WE’RE LOOKING:
The purpose of the Next Gen Associate Worship Leader is to be responsible for the overall worship experience of
Student Ministry.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
 Education and/or experience that have prepared you for this role

 Knowledgeable regarding the involvement of Serve team members, as well as understanding the concept that
pastors/leaders are called to equip others to do the work of the ministry
 Ability to cast a vision for the worship ministry & design creative and innovative ways to further the student
ministry
 Ability to work with people, building teams, promoting teamwork, and delegating responsibility
 Ability to recruit, motivate, and equip Serve team members
 Ability to create, develop and train leaders
 Ability to mentor and disciple
 Ability to create & perform events for Middle School, High School and Young Adult ministries
 Ability to create, design, and implement services to support current series
 Strong knowledge of worship culture and ability to learn new ways of reaching and moving people
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
 Recruit Serve team members and develop Student Ministry teams which will help to accomplish the overall
vision of Next Gen Ministry and the church-this includes discipleship, training and rehearsals
 Work alongside the Student Ministry team
 Participate in Student Ministry budget plan development & review budget periodically
 Communicate with team members and parents about upcoming rehearsals and scheduled worship events
 Lead Wednesday night program worship for Student Ministry
 Plan, resource, and execute worship for Student camps
 Provide resources to assist worship team members in preparing for programs
 Work closely with & provide updates to Student Ministry team
 Meet regularly and as needed with Worship Arts Director for resourcing, training and coaching
 Meet regularly with the Worship Arts Director to pursue ongoing spiritual and professional growth opportunities
