Lead Teacher – Early Preschool Classroom

Treasureland Preschool
Posted: 03/25/2026
Salary/Range: $21-25/hr
Location
Denver, CO
Description:

At Treasureland Preschool, we believe young children deserve unhurried time, patient adults, and classrooms where curiosity is protected. We are a relationship-based, play-centered preschool serving children ages 2–5, and we are seeking a Lead Teacher who approaches early childhood with both warmth and intention.

Our early preschool classroom is a place where block towers are built and rebuilt, feelings are met with steady presence, and behavior is approached with curiosity rather than control. We are not a worksheet-based program. If you’ve been looking for a place where play, inquiry, and relationship truly drive the work, you may have found it.

We are looking for an educator who delights in welcoming children each morning and is equally invested in building thoughtful partnerships with families. The right teammate values collaboration, follows health and safety practices with care, plans intentionally, and models responsive (not reactive) guidance. Most of all, they bring a gentle presence into the room — steady, kind, and deeply attuned to young children.

Who We Are

Treasureland Preschool is a relationship-based, play-centered learning community in Denver, Colorado. We serve children ages 2–5 in classrooms designed to honor process over product, inquiry over performance, and guidance rooted in connection and consistency.

Our school day runs from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with teachers on site from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM. We believe thoughtful planning, collaboration with a co-teacher, and reflective practice are essential parts of the work. We partner closely with families and value clear, respectful communication.

We are committed to developmentally appropriate practice, inclusive community, and ongoing professional growth. Many of our teachers choose to stay long-term because of the meaningful relationships they build with children, families, and one another year after year.

Who You Are

You are an educator who believes toddlers deserve patience, dignity, and deep respect. You approach behavior with curiosity rather than judgment and see emotions as opportunities for connection and skill-building.

You plan thoughtfully and understand that a well-prepared environment creates space for meaningful play. You are attentive to health and safety practices and follow licensing protocols with care and consistency.

You delight in welcoming children each morning and value building strong, collaborative relationships with families. You enjoy partnering with a co-teacher to reflect, problem-solve, and wonder together about children’s growth and development.

You bring a sense of grounded joy to your work — finding meaning in block towers, sandbox conversations, and the daily rhythms of toddler life. You model positive language, remain steady in moments of stress, and approach challenges with openness and a willingness to reflect.
