The Ministry: Biblical, Relational, and Mission-Focused
Our Mission: The mission of Grace Crossing is to be a church that reaches disconnected
people and equips them to fully engage with Jesus. We’re a multigenerational church
dedicated to helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and go share His love with
others.

Your Role: Primary Shepherd and Teacher
● Faithful Preaching: Serve as the primary teacher (preaching >80% of Sundays),
delivering Biblically sound, Christ-centered sermons that are relevant to everyday
life.
● Elder-Led Leadership: Shepherd the body as one of a plurality of elders, providing
vision-casting and spiritual guidance while working alongside peers on the Elder
Board.
● Relational Discipleship: Cultivate a vibrant culture of discipleship, prayer, and
joyful worship, empowering members to serve using their unique gifts.
● Pastoral Heart: Provide thoughtful pastoral care—from counseling to hospital
visits—caring for the whole church family.

Qualifications and Skills
Personal Qualifications Summary
We seek a man who meets the Biblical qualifications of a pastor (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus
1:5–9), demonstrating an unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ and the authority of
Scripture. This candidate must have a genuine love for people, a commitment to personal
spiritual discipline, and a proven track record of making disciples. We are looking for a
humble and teachable spirit.

Professional Qualifications Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background (seminary/Bible college
degree preferred) and experience preaching/teaching the Word and shepherding a
church. Key skills include the ability to lead and develop staff/volunteers, work
effectively with an elder board, and ensure alignment with Grace Crossing’s doctrinal
statement and mission.

● A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and devotion to His church and mission
● Meets the Biblical qualifications of a Pastor (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter
5:1–4)
● Unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture as the foundation of truth
● Practices personal spiritual disciplines and disciples their family
● Participates in relationships that provide accountability, encouragement, and
growth.
● Genuinely loves and cares for people and desires to help them connect to Christ
and His church
● A proven track record of making disciples and a commitment to ongoing relational
discipleship
● A humble and teachable spirit with a desire to grow
Professional
● A ministry/theology degree from an accredited seminary or Bible college (preferred)
● Experience in preaching/teaching the Word, shepherding a church, and leading staff
and volunteers
● Alignment with Grace Crossing’s doctrinal statement and mission
● Willingness to pursue FEC credentialing/ordination as appropriate
● Able to work effectively with an elder board as a leader among peers
● Ability to manage and develop staff and ministry leaders
● Flexible and willing to adjust schedule as needed to meet the needs of the church
family
