Overview

 

Redeemer Eagle Valley (REV) exists to bring glory to God and the Gospel to the world as followers of Christ committed to a church witnessing to culture (Matthew 22:37-40, 28:18-20, John 15:1-11, 2 Timothy 2:2, John 15:12-17, Hebrews 10:24-25, John 15:18-27). Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Eagle, Colorado, REV is a gospel-centered, Christ-exalting church. With approximately 100 regular weekly attenders, REV is committed to shepherding the congregation and proclaiming the Word of God.

 

We are seeking a Lead Pastor who will serve as a fellow elder, providing primary leadership in preaching and teaching, oversee the curricular direction of our teaching, equip the people of God, and advance the mission of the church. He is called to pray and minister according to the Word of God, oversee the pastoral care of the flock, and lead the church in achieving God’s purpose and vision. He will be the primary preacher/teacher and will provide pastoral care as required. He will minister to and support the lay leaders in using their God-given gifts to support ministries that spread the Gospel throughout our Valley.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Give himself to prayer and the study of the Word of God
  • Preach and expound the Word of God
  • Demonstrates and models a lifestyle of evangelism, actively sharing the Gospel and engaging the local community
  • Share in the pastoral care of the congregation along with the other Elders and members of the pastoral staff
  • Together with the other Elders, maintain church discipline
  • Participate in the installation of newly designated Elders
  • Act as an ex-officio member of all committees and boards
  • Carry out the operations of the church within the budget

 

Position Qualifications

 

  • Meets qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9
  • Holds the whole Bible as being sufficient for all things regarding life and holiness
  • A mature man of God who seeks to honor God in all he does
  • If married, his wife is a mature Christian who loves the Lord and her husband, and desires to contribute to the ministry
  • A degree in biblical studies, theology, or ministry preferred
  • A strong biblical knowledge, theology, and ministry practices, with the ability to apply these principles in leadership and teaching
  • Has experience preaching expositionally
  • Pursues excellence in all things for the glory of God
  • Has good work-ethic and self-discipline
  • Is growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Exhibits a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Affirms and agrees with our church’s constitution, bylaws, and statement of faith (see attached documents)

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Compensation and benefits will reflect the cost of living in the Eagle Valley and will be structured to support long-term pastoral sustainability.
