Job Board

EXPECTATIONS:

We expect the Pastor to lead the church in fulfilling the Mission, teaching/preaching, training and overseeing Staff, and casting Vision.

We are seeking someone who will help us build our children’s/family ministry to young families and expand the effectiveness of our Outreach Events in making new disciples. This includes working closely with our current Latino Outreach Pastor, Jose Lopez.

We have a great Visitation Team through the Diaconate, which carries out the majority of visitation to shut-ins and hospital stays, however, there are times when the pastor is needed to make calls. This will be coordinated with the Diaconate Chair.

We expect the Pastor to preach and teach from the Bible.

We are moving toward an Accountability Leadership Structure in which the Pastor is given the authority to lead with accountability to the Board/Council. This will in effect change the current Council to become the Governing Board, and the chairpersons to become Staff for their areas of ministry. The job description reflects that structure and the relationship with the Board/Council.

It is expected that the Lead Pastor will work closely with Pastor Jose Lopez in developing the Latino Outreach. This will include working as a team, coaching, and developing this ministry.
