Intensive Counselor – Independent Contractor
QuietWaters Ministries, a nonprofit organization located in the South Denver Metro area, exists to renew, restore, and strengthen Christian leaders and their families. As the demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking seasoned Licensed Professional Counselors with prior vocational ministry experience to join our Program Team as independent contractors.
Our primary offering is the Counseling Intensive—a focused, multi-day experience designed to provide deep, restorative care to pastors, missionaries, and other Christian leaders from around the world. These intensives take place at our beautiful Retreat Center in Parker, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Intensive Counseling to Christian Leaders:
- Facilitate QuietWaters’ Counseling Intensives, which are designed to promote renewal and transformational growth at all stages of life and ministry.
- Address a variety of leadership and personal challenges, including relational or organizational conflict, burnout, trauma, moral failure, character or competency issues, transitional stress, marriage difficulties, and emotional health concerns.
- Deliver counseling sessions as part of a one-week (3 hours/day for 5 days) or two-week (2–2.5 hours/day for 10 weekdays) schedule.
- Sessions take place at the Retreat Center in Parker, CO.
Develop and Document Personalized Growth Plans:
- Collaborate with clients to create a growth plan that aligns with their personal, familial, and ministry goals.
- Submit the finalized growth plan via QuietWaters’ within 3 business days following the conclusion of the Intensive.
- Provide timely and thorough post-intensive notes and documentation.
Personal Qualifications:
- A committed, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a lifestyle aligned with Christian values.
- Agreement with QuietWaters’ Statement of Faith, Theoretical Basis for Counseling, and Position Statements.
- Willingness to serve under contract as an independent contractor, not as an employee.
- Master’s or doctoral-level Licensed Professional Counselor with relevant experience in Christian ministry.
- Current licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Holds and maintains professional liability insurance.
- Adheres to accepted ethical and professional standards, including strict confidentiality protocols.
- Be able to sit for long periods.
