About Rock Solid Christian Academy:

Rock Solid Christian Academy is a private, Christian, University-Model school located in Aurora, CO. Our students attend school on-campus three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) and complete teacher-led assignments the other two days at home. We seek an experienced classroom educator passionate about kids, Jesus, and Christian education. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for excellence and strong instructional and classroom management skills. RSCA values each child as a unique person created in the image of God, and we seek to reach each child where they’re at academically and spiritually. Our mission is to disciple character witnesses for Christ for the next generation.

We are seeking a high school math and science teacher for the 2025-26 school year, with experience teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry. This position will also eventually serve as a mentor for small cohorts of students taking asynchronous online college classes.

Job Requirements:

  • Evidence of a mature Christian faith.
  • Minimum of 1 year classroom teaching experience, preferably in high school math and science.
  • Experience teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry is required.
  • Ability to teach a range of high school science courses.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, positive attitude, and teachability.
  • Ability to mentor and guide students in asynchronous online college courses.

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in mathematics, science, or education.
  • A Colorado state teaching certificate is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach high school math and science courses, including Algebra 1 and Geometry, in a University-Model setting.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Mentor small cohorts of students taking asynchronous online college classes.
  • Immerse instruction in a biblical worldview.
  • Participate in faculty and department meetings and professional development opportunities.
