Food Service Manager / Chef

Laurelville Retreat Center – Mt. Pleasant, PA

Laurelville, a Christ-centered retreat center serving over 25,000 overnight guests annually, is seeking a Food Service Manager/Chef to join our dedicated team. We host a wide variety of groups—churches, schools, non-profits, and camps—who come to experience renewal, connection, and hospitality in our beautiful setting.

Position Highlights:

Competitive wage & full benefits package – including housing in an on-site apartment.
Duties are approximately 75% cooking / 25% administrative (ordering, scheduling, supervising).
Collaborate with two other full-time cooks and a supportive kitchen team.
Work in an environment where your God-given gifts—from baking to planning—can be put to meaningful use in service to others.

Requirements:

Minimum two years’ experience in catering, food service, or as a sous chef.
Ability to manage a kitchen with excellence, creativity, and efficiency.
Strong commitment to teamwork and hospitality.
Understanding of dietary needs.
Ability to carry out the physical duties required for commercial kitchen work.
Current ServSafe certificate preferred (not required)
