The Position:

The Family Pastor will lead Wellspring Church by 1) unifying Family Ministry through cohesive vision and family discipleship opportunities, 2) providing oversight of the Children’s and Youth Ministries, 3) equipping and supporting parents and marriages, and 4) equipping the congregation in pursuing ages 0-25.

Reports to: Katie Gayle, Executive Pastor of Ministry

Leadership: Ministry Lead Team

Status of position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Unify and Lead Family Ministry Pillar
• Create cohesion and stability with the Family Ministry Pillar (children’s, youth, parents) by leading regular Family Ministry team meetings
• Provide collaboration and vision at key transitions – from children’s ministry to youth ministry, and youth ministry to young adults
• Create and implement family worship opportunities, discipleship guides, etc.
• Lead and Provide Oversight of Youth Ministry – Most Pressing Need ○ Oversee Youth Ministry Staff
• Get in the trenches of leading Youth Group (for the next 1-2 years), while creating and implementing a long term and sustainable vision and staffing structure
• Support Assistant Youth Director with recruiting, training, and deploying volunteers
• Build out and lead Youth Milestones (Youth Catechism (Foundations and Form Year,) Coming of Age experience, Leadership Cohort, etc.)
• Provide Oversight of Children’s Ministry
• Oversee Children’s Ministry Staff
• Support the casting and implementation of vision for Children’s programming and milestones
• Equip and Support Parents and Marriages
• Oversee Parent Discipleship Pastor in their leadership of Marriage Ministry and Fost/Adopt Group
• Provide pastoral care and counseling to parents alongside Parent Discipleship Pastor
• Equip Congregation in pursuing ages 0-25
• Teach/preach to the congregation about how to disciple and engage the next generation
• Advocate for involvement in Family Ministry
• Collaborate with other departments on events or serving opportunities for families

Salary + Benefits:

Salary/Wage:  $80,000 + Benefits
