Job Purpose

The Executive Director of Get HOPE Global (HOPE) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, and the management and implementation of strategic initiatives approved by the Board of Directors.

General Responsibilities

• Serves as the voice and the face of the organization to the public
• Leads the organization in its stated mission with professionalism and biblical integrity
• Initiates and oversees communication within the organization and with its constituents
• Provides the Board of Directors pertinent information to achieve their stated macro goals
• Submits annual budget to the Board of Directors for approval
• Plans and facilitates monthly Steering Team meetings
• Plans and oversees marketing strategies that ensures high standards of the GHG brand
• Manages Regional Directors and Train the Trainer activities to ensure effective execution of training programs, loan applications, and repayments
• Manages the financial solvency of the organization through curriculum sales, donor funding and corporate partnerships
• Initiates and oversees grant development
• Builds a volunteer base to delegate designated areas of responsibility

Job Duties:

Primary Duties
Initiates and executes:
Train the Trainer: Confirms all on-site opportunities are thoroughly researched and that the coordination of all in-country training events are properly scheduled, staffed and funded. Verifies that HOPE Trainers are well prepared to teach the training sessions in a culturally appropriate and professional manner. Writes follow-up reports, which include the TTT evaluation from participants.

Marketing: Ensures that communications and collateral materials are up-to-date, relevant, and of high quality. Creates and manages the annual marketing budget. Oversees marketing strategies. Collaborates with relevant staff regarding social media and website content.
General/Administration:
Manages Daily HOPE Operations: Initiates and responds to communications, keeps organized records, plans and distributes Steering Team meeting agendas, facilitates meetings, ensures meeting notes are recorded and distributed, follows through on action items, assignments and decisions. Formulates and executes tactical plans for the accomplishment of the strategic initiatives, furthering the mission/vision of HOPE. Maintains a positive working relationship with the Board and provides reports or other documents and information as requested. Works hand-in-hand with Chief Financial Officer anticipating expenditures, submitting financial-related proposals prior to events, and submitting receipts for reimbursement in a timely manner. Systematically reviews all financial reports, HOPE projects, loan applications, website issues, translations, contracts and other pertinent reports/documents initiating approvals, changes and recommendations as needed.
Manages contractors, volunteers and Regional Directors:
Provides leadership in strategic planning as well as direction, mentoring and supervision. Initiates and oversees work assignments, provides feedback and performance management as needed. Builds and unifies the Steering Team and delegates appropriate administrative tasks.

Income Generation:
Donor Development: Has primary responsibility for building and growing the GHG donor base. Meets with and provides follow-up to current and potential donors in the local area and enters pertinent notes into database. Provides leadership in execution and hosting of GHG fundraising events, campaigns and communications.
GHG Grant Submissions: Oversees and initiates timely grant submissions for GHG to achieve a viable balance of work done under external grants as well as work accomplished under a growing number of GHG grants.
Sales: Initiates, meets and follows up with prospective and current partners for new curriculum sales. Participates in networking events, conferences, conventions, speaking events, trade shows and presentations.
