Reports to: Board of Directors
Employment Type: Full-time, 40-hours, in-office position

Salary Range: $48,000 – $52,000 / Bonuses contingent upon success and performance

Position Overview:

Colorado Family Life Center is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Executive Director to lead and oversee the organization’s efforts to equip parents through free parenting classes, building relationships, and providing needed resources, helping them raise their children in a safe and nurturing way from conception to young adulthood. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the ministry. This role involves overseeing client services, fundraising, financial management, and board relations in alignment with our Christian values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Board Management

  • Serve as the key liaison between the Board of Directors and staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Provide regular updates on organizational performance, including program effectiveness, financial health, and future needs.
  • Support board development and actively engage board members in fundraising and outreach activities.

2. Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure that all organizational policies are up-to-date and reflect best practices, maintaining a commitment to ethical standards grounded in Christian principles.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit laws, regulations, and faith-based guidelines.
  • Oversee risk management and maintain the integrity and transparency of all organizational activities.

3. Fundraising & Donor Relations

  • Oversee the development and execution of fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and church and community partnerships, to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Build and nurture relationships with donors, supporters, and community partners to secure ongoing support for the organization’s mission.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of special events, campaigns, and community outreach to raise funds and awareness.

4. Financial Management

  • Oversee the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure financial accountability and that the organization adheres to nonprofit accounting standards.
  • Work closely with external accountants to ensure timely audits, tax filings, and compliance with financial regulations.

5. Client Services Oversite 

  • Oversee and evaluate the Client Services Director, programs, and services that empower parents, ensuring alignment with the mission of supporting families from conception through young adulthood. 
  • Encourage staff and volunteers to build genuine, encouraging relationships with clients. Ensure that client needs are being met through compassionate care and support.
  • Evaluate program outcomes to ensure they foster a nurturing and supportive environment for families.

Qualifications:

  • Faith Commitment: A committed Christian who supports the mission and values of Colorado Family Life Center. Is mandatory. 
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or 3 years experience in nonprofit management, business administration, theology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, ministry leadership, or a related area is preferred.
  • Fundraising Expertise: A proven track record in fundraising, donor development, and financial oversight is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and relationship-building.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead with a servant’s heart, manage staff, and work collaboratively.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, focusing on strategic planning and attention to detail.
