Job Description

The Director will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing programs that nourish the spiritual growth of families. A significant focus will be helping youth develop a strong faith and learn how to cultivate supportive relationships with other Christians. This will occur by fostering spiritual growth, community involvement, and providing opportunities for service and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement family programs, including Bible studies and community service projects.
• Oversee the selection and implementation of curriculum and programming.
• Create an appreciation for Christian beliefs and history.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers and leaders.
• Organize and lead weekly meetings and events.
• Communicate regularly about activities and spiritual development.
• Collaborate with church leadership to align programs with the church’s mission and goals.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are in place for all family ministry activities and environments.
• Be a presence on church property after hours and be readily accessible to host activities at the church.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of youth ministry and biblical teachings.
• Experience working with families in a church or community setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate programming.

• Ability to build relationships with youth and their families.

Work Environment:

• Part-time position, which will include Sunday mornings and at least one evening a week.
• Supervised by pastor.
• Involves collaboration with other church staff and volunteers.
