Description:
The Director of Admissions and Administration works in close partnership with the Head of School to advance the school’s mission and oversee the day-to-day operations of the school. This individual will have primary management responsibility for the school in the absence of the Head of School.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration
- Collaborate with the Head of School to instill a positive school climate. Meet regularly with the Head of School for planning and direction.
- Daily operations:
- Oversee office management, including all necessary school and student files.
- Oversee school technology needs, student information system administration.
- Manage relationships with all school vendors and oversee purchasing of office and student school supplies.
- Support faculty in the daily operations of the school.
- Supervisor to Lead Administration and Operations Assistant, and Administrative and Operations Assistant.
- Event Coordination:
- Organize school-wide special events such as Speech Meet, Recitation Night, etc.
- Collaborate with the Parent Volunteer Coordinator for all school volunteer needs.
- Lead the assembly/chapel schedule and school calendar maintenance.
- Student policies and procedures:
- Manage student discipline, conflict resolution, and guidance in the absence of the Head of School and keep parents informed as appropriate.
- Oversee the development and implementation of all student safety procedures, including safety drills, drop-off and pick-up procedures, etc.
- Manage and update as needed the school handbooks (employee, teacher, parent/student, etc.).
- Oversee health administration (nurse duties) and health training for staff (CPR, allergy response, etc.).
- In collaboration with the Curriculum & Instruction Lead, lead the annual curriculum inventory and any necessary curriculum orders.
- Student records, reports, and standardized testing.
- School schedule management.
Admissions
- Manage the comprehensive recruitment of new families, evaluate potential students, and manage the comprehensive admissions process including the application, family interview, entrance testing, admission, enrollment, and re-enrollment.
- Act as a gatekeeper to ensure that prospective families are aligned with the mission, vision, and Faith Statement of CCS.
- Work with the Financial Aid Committee and participate in the tuition assistance review process.
- Host Open House events and/or info sessions for prospective families to tour, visit classrooms, etc.
- In collaboration with the Curriculum & Instruction Lead, develop and coordinate summer readiness programs.
Human Resources
- Manage all employee contracts and benefits.
- In collaboration with the Board of Directors and the Head of School, support the hiring process.
Facilities
- Point person for all daily facility needs and maintenance in collaboration with Shepherd of the Hills maintenance staff.
- Responsible for all drills (emergency, fire, lockdowns, tornado, etc.) and emergency responses.
Qualifications
- Possess a vibrant Christian faith and ability to model virtue and wisdom.
- Appreciation for classical Christian education and Charlotte Mason pedagogy.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience inspiring teams towards collaboration and success.
- Ability to balance multiple demands in ways that are well-organized, clearly communicated, and inclusive of a wide range of perspectives within the school.
- Demonstrated flexibility and a knack for creative problem solving.
- Must be a strong writer.
- A positive, can-do disposition with eyes that look for ways to celebrate and glorify God in the big and little things.
Specifics
- Full-time position.
- Hours: On-site 7:30 am – 3:45 pm required Monday-Thursday, 2-3 hours every other Friday for in-service staff meetings, and all after-hours school events.
- Salary range: $50,000-$60,000.
