Overview: RE-fined is a 501(c)3 charitable service and support ministry that desires to empower Christ’s people to form restorative relationships with individuals, overcoming exploitation to equip them as they re-enter society. We combine a faith-based approach and like-minded local presence with the support and expertise of program partners in the community through which we meet the individuals we serve.

THE POSITION

Position Title: Development Manager (DM)

Reports To: Executive Director (ED)

Date: Q2 2025

Location: Denver Metro, CO (remote)

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk); Hybrid Work Environment

FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried) 

Compensation: $62,000-$75,000 per year; Performance Based Structure

Benefits: Health Stipend, Holiday Pay, Mileage Reimbursement, PTO (14 Days/yr.)

Scope / Summary: The DM is integral in promoting, developing, and maintaining relationships with current and potential partners with RE-fined. Working with the team, the DM will help build a creative and effective communications plan for the ministry and lead and participate in executing the plan as a team player, working alongside other RE-fined employees and volunteers. 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Manage donor relations, including acknowledgment, recognition, and stewardship activities.
  • Prepare grant proposals and reports for foundation and corporate support.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of fundraising activities and donor information in the organization’s database (CRM).  
  • Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Support the RE-fined Team with fundraising efforts and events to generate profit for RE-fined.
    • Participate with the RE-fined Team in brainstorming and planning events and fundraising activities. 
    • Develop corporate and business relationships regarding solicitations of monetary and in-kind support for sponsorships, auctions, fundraising activities, and event marketing outreach.
    • Help track revenue, expenses, and budgeted forecasts for all events. 

 

THE CANDIDATE

Required Skills / Qualifications:

PROFESSIONAL

  1. Commitment to the mission and values of RE-fined, helping survivors of exploitation, and seeing the gospel of Jesus as the vehicle for hope and change. 
  2. 2+ years of experience in sales, business/donor development, nonprofit management, or a related field (i.e., charitable, ministerial, etc.).
  3. Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business administration, nonprofit development, or related field)
  4. Proficiency in cold calling and procuring new relationships while focusing on nurturing and strengthening existing relationships.
  5. Owns their annual goals, focusing effort and energy on plans and actions to exceed the annual revenue goal. 
  6. A self-starter who does both self-directed and follows the spirit of intent of detailed instructions.  
  7. Has an “others first” orientation that makes them an ideal team player.  
  8. Creative, strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. 
  9. Proven, exceptional written communication skills.
  10. Demonstrable proficiency in Google Workspace and other administrative tools and platforms.
  11. Possess an entrepreneurial work ethic with an “initiate and execute” mentality, complete with the ability to prioritize and follow through consistently and effectively.
  12. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

PERSONAL/SPIRITUAL

  1. Has an ongoing, vibrant relationship with Jesus, fully yielded to His Lordship, and is renewing their mind (Romans 12).  
  2. Actively integrates and lives out biblical principles in day-to-day behavior, exhibiting unremitting integrity and strong moral character in both private and public life.
  3. Affirmation of RE-fined’s Statement of Faith.  
  4. Faithfully committed to Christ and His Church.
  5. Maintains professional and technical knowledge through attendance to educational seminars and workshops, with the subsequent intention of developing and establishing networks with RE-fined for partnerships and publications
  6. Models daily faithfulness to God and love and service to others
  7. Passion to serve the disenfranchised and other people groups experiencing/have experienced varying forms or levels of trauma
  8. Spiritually mature, as evidenced by a regular commitment to prayer, especially for the RE-fined community, the study of Scripture, and other Christian learning mechanisms

Completion Of RE-fined’s Volunteer Training REQUIRED Prior To Or Upon Hire

Valid Driver’s License at Time of Application REQUIRED

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Tests well in the known skills required for the role.  
  • A proven track record of successful fundraising, sales, and/or donor cultivation is preferred.  
  • Experience in developing church partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and/or grant writing a plus.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems.
  • CFRE certification is a plus.
