My family and I are co-caregivers for my father, who is living with late-stage Alzheimer’s. He resides in a memory care community in the Denver Tech Center, and we are looking to thoughtfully expand his companion care team.

This role is best suited for someone who is calm, attentive, and genuinely enjoys one-on-one companionship with older adults.

Scope of Care:

• Saturday evenings: typically 4:00–7:00 pm
• Secondary need: every other Monday, 9:00 am–1:00 pm
• Flexibility preferred: willingness to cover occasional shifts (days or evenings) when other team members are unavailable

Scope of Care

• Companion care during scheduled hours
• Walks and accompaniment to meals and facility activities
• Gentle encouragement and support with hydration
• General companionship, conversation, and engagement
• Collaboration with the onsite memory care team for daily needs, including toileting and catheter bag support
  • The onsite care team leads all hands-on care, with assistance as needed
• Light room upkeep as appropriate (basic tidying; occasional laundry)

Care Requirements:

• Prior caregiving experience
• This is a non-clinical role; no skilled medical care is required
• A medical or caregiving background is preferred, such as:
  • CNA, LPN, nurse-delegated caregiver, medical aide, or similar experience
• Experience with memory loss or cognitive impairment is a plus, but not required
• Non-smoker
• Reliable, responsible, and compassionate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience
