Alternatives Pregnancy Center exists to care for Denver-area women and men in pregnancy-related crisis and offer them a meaningful alternative to abortion. Following the example of Christian love, we seek to meet their emotional, physical and spiritual needs. And we enable and encourage them to choose life every day.

We are looking for:

You practice servant leadership and are deeply committed to the sanctity of human life. You provide compassionate counseling and ongoing support to clients, offering care rooted in empathy and understanding. You have a strong knowledge of current and emerging issues related to unintended pregnancy and are able to build trust quickly with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You are known for outstanding communication skills and a genuine heart to connect. You serve others through Christ-like love and humility.

Position Summary:

Provide outstanding support, education and resources to clients and patients impacted by unplanned pregnancy and/or compromised sexual health in a faith-based environment.

Requirements:

• Committed and exemplified relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Committed to Alternatives mission statement and the sanctity of human life.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in related field including Psychology or Social Work.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work.
• Experience with vulnerable population and/or crisis counseling.
• Spanish speaking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients as needed.
• Provide on-going support for clients as needed.
• Act as an advocate with other agencies to which clients are referred.
• Answer Helpline calls and schedule appointments during office hours.
• Case management of clients’ needs.
• Oversee the maintenance of client records.
• Answer Helpline calls and schedule appointments during office hours.
• Schedule appointments.
• Ability to manage and oversee volunteers.
• Committed to her own personal and spiritual growth.
• Practices servant leadership and functions with a Christ-like love in professional and personal affairs.

We provide a 24-Hour Helpline, pregnancy tests and options counseling, limited ultrasound services, STD testing and treatment, adoption education, pre- and post-natal medical care referrals, financial and legal referrals, counseling after abortion, positive youth development curriculum and sexual risk avoidance education. All services are provided free of charge.
