Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Schedule: 4-day week (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM)

Our approach integrates spiritual growth with academic excellence, providing students with a strong foundation in character and faith. Students engage in daily chapel, Bible-based curricula, and service projects, all within a supportive Christian environment.

Role Overview

As a Classroom Teacher at Acts Academy, you will:

• Guide Learning: Facilitate classroom instruction using Logic of English, Essentials in Writing, Saxon Math, and The Gospel Project. 

• Foster Character Development: Integrate biblical principles into daily lessons to cultivate virtues and servant leadership among students.

• Encourage Independent Thinking: Promote critical thinking and problem-solving through hands on activities and real-world applications.

• Collaborate with Families: Partner with parents to support students’ academic and spiritual growth, ensuring alignment between home and classroom environments.

• Participate in Community: Engage in daily chapel services and contribute to a supportive, Christ-centered school culture.

Responsibilities

• Instruction: Deliver engaging lessons in Bible, math, reading, writing, and other subjects, tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles.

• Classroom Culture: Implement Capturing Kids’ Hearts strategies to manage behavior, foster connection, and build a positive classroom community rooted in mutual respect and personal responsibility.

• Community Building: Create a classroom environment that reflects the values of Acts Academy and fosters a sense of belonging and purpose.

• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and reflection to enhance teaching practices and spiritual growth.

Important Notes

• This is a part-time position. Monday-Thursday; 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM
• 135 Contract Days.
  • Professional Development August 18-21, 2025
  • First day of class September 2, 2025
  • 1 week of Thanksgiving break; 3 weeks of Christmas break, 1 week of Spring break.
  • Last day of class May 21, 2026
