Core Responsibilities: Children’s Ministry
Day to day: Lead the employee’s and staff of the CHC Children’s Ministry to produce programing for Sunday mornings, Midweek AWANA, special events, and a summer camp experience for ages birth through 6th grade.
Report to: Executive Minister
Preferred Education & Experience: Relevant degree in children’s education and faith development. 5yrs experience leading or serving in a ministry that recruits, trains, and manages a team of paid and non-paid staff.
Soft Skills: Building and Equipping a Large Team
Shepherding and teaching adults and kids
Developing long range vision and planning
Salary Package: 50K – 60K – Adjusted for Experience and Education

Description of Cheyenne Hills Church: Cheyenne Hills Church is a growing church in Cheyenne, WY currently serving 300+ children at 2 weekend services. CHC Children’s ministry has 2 part-time paid staff and 140 non-paid staff who rotate through the services schedule requiring 50-60 staff per weekend. CHC currently uses BRITE by AWANA and has a vision for the implementation of a mid-week AWANA program. CHC serves families from a mixture of backgrounds. Some are native to Cheyenne, others are in town for government or military purposes, some are a part of the farm/ranch/horse community, all in an expanding business environment. This creates a dynamic diverse, conservative population who are passionate about the families and kids in this community.
