Reports To: Director of Children’s Ministry
We are seeking a Children’s Ministry Assistant to join our team and help us create meaningful children’s ministry experience. This role offers the opportunity to invest in the spiritual growth of our church family and shepherd children of all ages.
The purpose of this role is to (1) provide consistent coverage for Sunday mornings, (2) support sustainable growth of Children’s Ministry, (3) strengthen volunteer confidence and effectiveness, and (4) enable the Director of Children’s Ministries to focus on vision, leadership development, and collaboration between Children’s and Youth Ministries.
Children’s Ministry Assistant Responsibilities
Sunday Mornings (Approximately 26 Weeks per Year)
- Take primary responsibility for Sunday morning Children’s Ministry operations
- Schedule volunteers for all age groups
- Select and prepare lessons for Nursery, Preschool, K–2nd, 3rd–5th, & Foundations
- Set up Children’s Check-In and Welcome Station
- Teach the large group lessons and one small group class
- Ensure classrooms are organized & supplies are put away at the conclusion of Sunday
Midweek Programming
- Assist preparation & teaching for Midweek Mountain Movers (Wed. evenings, Sept-Apr)
Special Events
- Assist with planning and execution of Vacation Bible School
- Support children’s fellowship, outreach, and special events
Administrative Support
- Download, prepare, and print curriculum materials
- Organize and maintain volunteer forms and paperwork
- Assist with applications, job descriptions, and church safety documentation
- Support general organizational needs of Children’s Ministries

- Demonstrated success in the areas of responsibility and results
- Demonstrate skill at executing strategy, equipping, and mobilizing teams and volunteers
- Agree with the core doctrines of Crow Hill Bible Church

About Crow Hill Bible Church
Crow Hill Bible Church is a vibrant Converge church located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, averaging 250 weekly attenders. We’re passionate about making much of Jesus and reaching our community and the 285 corridor for Christ – serving as a light on a hill in Bailey, Colo.
Our Director of Children’s Ministry, Susan Bolte, has been at CHBC for over four years. She comes with a diverse background of experience as a classroom teacher and an oncology nurse. She is a gifted teacher and has a huge heart to love and care for children, parents, and the volunteers who serve alongside her. She is passionate about ministry and helping others to fall in love with Jesus.
Our Lead Pastor, Pastor Michael, has been at CHBC for over two years. He comes to us with experience as a lead pastor and discipleship pastor, as well as having lead teams in the non-profit world. He is a gifted preacher and leader with a heart for discipleship and helping others to grow in their relationships with Christ.
We are a growing, multi-generational church with a laid-back contemporary style of worship. The staff team consists of 8 part-time and full-time staff members who work in a collaborative culture with supportive leadership.
Our location in Bailey, Colo. offers the perfect blend of small-town community and access to world-class outdoor recreation, just 50 minutes from Denver. With trails for hiking or mountain biking, opportunities to fish, easy access to winter activities, and beautiful scenic drives, this small town offers something for everyone. In addition, Bailey has that warm, mountain-town vibe where neighbors know and support each other.
Pay rate:
20 hours at $15-$20 per hour
