The Aaron Hur Group has partnered with Epic Church of Palm Coast, FL in search for their CARE & OUTREACH LEAD. The Care & Outreach Lead role has direct leadership in building the Care Ministry while giving oversight to the Local & Global Outreach team at Epic. At Epic Church, the Care & Outreach Lead will serve as a visionary, strategic, and relational organizational builder, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit aimed at developing a ministry that maximizes both Kingdom and Community Impact. The ideal candidate will excel in networking with community leaders, corporate sponsors, donors, individual church members, and strategic partners. They will take charge of establishing a Care Network, managing a Counseling Ministry, and overseeing Local and Global Outreach initiatives.

Our goal is for the Care Network to become the central resource for the community, ensuring that when someone is in need, their first call is to Epic Church. Subsequently, they will connect with a member of Epic’s Care Network, who will create an initial care plan, guide them to local resources, and provide follow-up support.

The Counseling Ministry (Center) is another important aspect of our ministry. This initiative will encompass two key elements: pastoral counseling and professional counseling. We will first determine the types of counseling services we can provide within Epic, followed by establishing a network with partners to offer more specialized counseling options.

  • Creates the Counseling Ministry (Center) for the community through internal staff, volunteers, and outside partnerships.
  • Oversees and continues to build a prayer and lay volunteer ministry teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides strategic leadership to help develop and support the vision for the Care Network, Counseling Ministry, Local Missions, and International and National Missions.
  • Give direction, encouragement, provide feedback and assess the Directors of the various ministries within the Missions Division.
  • Helps to develop and ensure strategic planning processes leadership teams, key objectives, budgets, assessment and wins are established.
  • Brings additional attention, resources, and funding to support and grow these ministries within the Missions division.
  • Fosters collaboration, creativity, possible teaming and best practices amongst the various Directors and their ministries.
  • Works within Epic’s vision and model to create a Care Network of ministries, helpful resources, trained volunteers and partnerships to help those who are in challenging circumstances and transitional seasons.
  • Create a Counseling Ministry network of professional counseling resources that align with Epic’s vision and values for pre-marital, marriage counseling, financial, divorce, grief, parental support, crises counseling, recovery programs, and other such needs.

GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Creates and leads Care Network and Counseling Ministry teams to serve within their ministries.
  • Identifies and trains key volunteers to work within each network such as those who do some of the counseling or function like case workers or other key roles as identified.
  • Oversees and builds the Prayer Team by leading them to pray for the needs of Epic and following up with those who submit requests that need attention.
  • Trains Prayer Team members to minister in prayer to individual in need on Sunday mornings or at other Epic events as needed.
  • Continually improves or creates ministries within the Care Network or Counseling Ministry to help meet the scope of care.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing goals, a ministry calendar, a direct report meeting schedule, a budget, and continuing to develop as a leader for this ministry.
  • Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Participates as a Staff Member and will attend leadership meetings and events as determined.
  • Functions as a member of the church’s pastoral staff in providing care, counseling, performing baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.

EDUCATION

B.A. degree with a strong theological background preferred but not required.

We seek someone with at least 5 years experience building an organization or ministry from the ground up and has an entrepreneurial spirit that can lead a staff team.
