Board of Directors Member (Volunteer | Working Board)

Term: 2 years
Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per month
Role Purpose
Board members serve Love INC through spiritual discernment, governance, and leadership. The Board prayerfully seeks God’s direction, provides strategic oversight, and ensures the ministry operates with integrity and faithfulness to Christ.
Role Summary
The Board sets policy, ensures financial and legal health, supports the Executive Director, and represents Love INC in the community of Arvada. This is a startup, working board and not an advisory-only role. Members are expected to actively contribute time, skills, and hands-on support in addition to attending meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide spiritual leadership through prayer and Christ-centered decision-making
Ensure legal, ethical, and financial oversight
Support fundraising and community partnerships
Support and evaluate the Executive Director
Contribute to strategic planning and growth
Serve as ambassadors to churches and the community
Participate in board self-evaluation
Be an active member of one of a variety of working committees
Expectations
Attend and prepare for meetings
Share expertise and leadership
Support the ministry financially as able
Pray regularly for the ministry
Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest
Qualifications
Active Christian faith and spiritual maturity
Alignment with Love INC’s mission and values
Integrity and collaborative leadership
Willingness to serve and engage actively
