Orchard Community Church is a vibrant and growing Jesus-centered congregation located in Erie, Colorado

Position Overview
We are seeking a relationally-wired, spiritually-grounded, and highly-motivated Associate / Student Pastor to
lead our Student Ministry (middle and high school) while also contributing to broader church ministry. This
individual will provide biblical teaching, build meaningful relationships with students and their families, and serve
faithfully as part of the church’s pastoral leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Ministry Leadership
● Develop and deliver biblically sound and highly engaging messages and lessons for students.
● Plan and oversee weekly Student Ministry gatherings, retreats, mission trips, and special events.
● Build personal relationships with students through discipleship, mentorship, and pastoral care.
● Proactively engage parents and families, encouraging involvement in their student’s spiritual growth.
● Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to support the Student Ministry.

Pastoral Leadership
● Serve as part of the broader pastoral team, contributing to church leadership, staff meetings, and
strategic vision.
● Provide occasional pastoral counseling, hospital visits, and care to church members as needed.
● Participate in Sunday morning services, building connections with the entire congregation.
● Collaborate with church leadership to support the overall mission, values, and ministries of Orchard
Community Church.
● Maintain effective communication with students, parents, volunteers, church staff, and Executive Team.
Administrative Responsibilities
● Organize ministry schedules, events, and teams using Planning Center, Google Docs, and email.
● Participate in regular staff meetings and planning sessions.
● Other activities and duties as necessary.

Qualifications
● A growing and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
● Clear calling to pastoral ministry, with a heart for student discipleship.
● Minimum of 3 years of ministry experience (student or pastoral ministry preferred).
● Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to organize and lead volunteers effectively.
● Alignment with Orchard Community Church’s Statement of Faith.
● Must pass a background check and adhere to child protection policies.

Compensation
Salary : $50,000 annually
Hours : 35-40 hours / week
Benefits : Eligible for housing allowance (tax-exempt) under IRS clergy rules
