Wellspring’s community can be described as “three streams” of Spirit, Word, and Sacrament which means it’s alive in the Spirit, grounded in the Gospel, and formed in the Liturgy.

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Pastor of Equipping who loves Jesus and has a passion for stewarding our congregation’s hearts and minds for God’s glory. This person will possess a natural ability to pursue the congregation in Wellspring Church and the Englewood community through participating in Sunday Worship service, meeting regularly with congregants, participating in and leading ministry events, and discipling our congregants. This person will love, lead, feed, and protect the congregation at Wellspring Church. The Associate Pastor of Equipping will report directly to the Lead Pastor of Ministry.

Responsibilities:

  • Love the Sheep (John 21:17)
  • a. Meet with approximately 5 members of Wellspring weekly for care, connection, and/or leadership
  • b. Be a welcoming pastoral presence on Sundays and at special Wellspring events
  • c. Conduct the Pastoral duties of baptisms (if ordained), weddings, funerals, and pastoral counseling as needed
  • Lead the Sheep (1 Peter 5:3)
  • a. Oversee and manage all spiritual formation programming (Alpha, Formation Labs, Catechism, and other discipleship classes)
  • b. Lead Men’s ministry through development, planning, and implementation
  • c. Recruits, trains, and motivates volunteer leaders
  • d. Attend and participate in the Ministry Lead meeting
  • Feed the Sheep (John 21:17)
  • a. Provide some of the teaching for the above formation programming
  • b. Preaching (if the gift is present)
  • c. Mentor young leaders who are beginning to display gifting in the area of discipleship
  • Protect the Sheep (John 10:11)
  • a. Pray for the congregation on a regular and individual basis
  • b. Attend Staff prayer as we pray for the congregation

Qualifications:

  • Has a 3 streams mindset and persona:
  • Grounded in the Gospel
  • Alive in the Holy Spirit
  • Formed by the liturgy
  • Master’s in divinity or theology from accredited seminary (preferred)
  • Anglican ordained clergy (preferred)
  • Track record of leadership and management of ministry programs.
  • Strong background in discipleship program development and curriculum design.
  • Strong track record in pastoral care for the church congregation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Mature, poised, and healthy self-awareness

Salary & Benefits:

  • $90-95k
  • 10% pension after the first year
