The Position:

The Accounting Lead will oversee the Accounting function at the National Service Center, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage YFC USA National Service Center Accounting
• Journal Entry Creation and Financial Reporting/Variance Analysis
• Bank Reconciliations
• Annual Audit/990
• Organizational Budgeting – both organizational and direct management of the Accounting Dept budget
• Cash Forecasting
• Accounting Policy/Process creation, documentation, and management, including financial controls
• Oversee Donation Processing, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Train Department/Division Heads and others related to financial processes and financial decision making
• Meet with Department/Division Heads on an ongoing basis, to discuss results and report up material highlights and areas of concern
• Occasional Travel to YFC Training/Events

Qualifications:

• Must possess a vital personal relationship with Jesus Christ and seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
• Must be able to participate in and lead regular times of prayer, devotion, and worship, and teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps, and events.
• Bachelors in Accounting, required; Masters of Accounting and CPA or CMA, preferred
• Skill with Excel, required
• Salesforce experience, preferred
• Seeks authentic Christ-centered relationships with people of various backgrounds, fosters an inviting environment, and empowers historically marginalized groups and indigenous populations (within the local context) through active listening, inclusion, advocacy for those who are vulnerable and respect of others’ experiences.
• Skilled at hearing organizational direction and implementing processes aligned with that direction.
• Strong and patient communicator, comfortable communicating financial principles and details to both financial professionals and to individuals with low financial understanding.

Salary & Benefits:

• $65-80k/year
• Hybrid role, 2-3 days in office per week
