Description:

The Masters of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program is a CACREP-accredited residential clinical health counseling program. Its mission is to prepare distinctly Christian, conceptually and clinically competent professional counselors who can integrate their Christian faith and Reformed worldview with their knowledge of counseling, render counseling to both churched and non-churched populations in multicultural and pluralistic societies and successfully enter the helping field. Female and ethnic minority candidates are encouraged to apply.

A unique aspect of RTS’s MAC program is the on-campus clinical internship experience offered to its students. Under the supervision of professionals, students counsel persons from diverse local communities in individual, couple, family, and group settings.

Core faculty members are involved in teaching, clinical supervision, administration, and scholarly work. They are also able to engage in a minimal number of hours of on-site private practice. The MAC program is seeking applicants with significant teaching and clinical experience who can bring practical expertise to the classroom. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of counseling and Christian theology.
