First Congregational Church of Leon, Wi is seeking our next pastor.

We are a church in a rural farming community. Our current congregation is aging (middle aged to elderly). We are seeking a leader who can relate to us as we are while also working with the body to draw younger families and singles into our congregation.

Our average weekly attendance (both members and regular attenders) is fewer than 30. We also have several who watch services live on Facebook. The newly built sanctuary can seat approx. 120 people, which is connected to our multipurpose fellowship hall. Our current music style is mainly hymns/piano with some contemporary music.

We believe in the triune God, salvation only through the blood of Christ, baptism, confirmation of youth, and infant dedication. We support several missionaries through prayer, donation, and love offerings for specific needs. We also support members of the community as they face unexpected challenges. We use several translations of the Bible including King James, NIV, NASB, ESV, etc.

We own and rent out a 3 modern bedroom home which is available to the right candidate, if needed.

We have been blessed financially. We are debt free!

We seek a bi-vocational or part time candidate with the following strengths/abilities:

• Some Bible College (degree preferred but not required for the right candidate)

• Comfortable praying with and for others (both planned and prompted)
• Comfortable calling and visiting church members and newcomers/visitors
• Desire to live in a rural area and to build relationships with community surrounding the church
• Flexible in working with church board while also holding firm to direction God is leading
• Able to walk beside people of all backgrounds and at different stages of their spiritual journey

Preferred: 3-to-5-year commitment to the calling
