Live-In Community Partner (Silver Lining House) – Part-time

THE ROLE
Status: Part-time (approximately 12 hours/week)
Reports to: Live-in Community Manager
As a Live-In Community Partner, you will help cultivate a structured, supportive, and relational environment where residents can grow in recovery, responsibility, and community. You will live on-site and actively engage in daily community life—building relationships, supporting program rhythms, and contributing to a culture of belonging and accountability. Silver Lining House is located in the Baker neighborhood of Denver and serves up to 13 street-connected young adult men. Residents may have experienced foster care, substance use challenges, and mental health barriers.
SCHEDULE
● On-duty shifts: 1 weekday shift (5-9pm) and rotating weekends every 4-weeks (Fri & Sat 6-9pm)
● Weekly mentoring with assigned residents (schedule TBD)
● Participate in weekly staff meeting (Mondays 4-6)
● Participate in trainings and Providence Network meetings and events
RESPONSIBILITIES: Live on-site and build consistent, healthy relationships with residents through presence, mentorship, and engagement:
● Support and reinforce house structure, expectations, and program values
● Model healthy recovery practices, boundaries, and life skills within the community
● Respond calmly and appropriately to resident needs and occasional crises
● Complete on-duty responsibilities of medication check-out, drug/alcohol screenings, monitoring resident wellbeing and safety, and reporting/documenting concerns, behaviors, and incidents
● Assist with light property upkeep, including cleaning and yard work
Resident Mentoring/Peer Support
● Provide weekly one-on-one peer support to assigned residents, drawing from lived experience to encourage recovery, personal growth, and accountability
● Communicate timely updates to staff regarding resident concerns, behaviors, and incidents
● Complete accurate and timely documentation, including service notes entered within 24 hours in accordance with Medicaid (QBHA) and organizational requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE
● Demonstrates a mature, personal Christian faith and a sense of calling to relational, urban ministry
● Comfortable signing Providence Network’s Statement of Faith
● Individuals with lived experience and/or prior work experience in recovery are strongly encouraged to apply
● Values both structure and compassion and is able to hold boundaries with grace
● Emotionally steady and able to navigate challenging behaviors
● Enjoys mentoring young adults and building trust over time
● Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented
● Able to pass a criminal background check
IMPACT
This role plays a key part in creating a home where young men can experience stability, belonging, and transformation. Your daily presence helps shape the culture of the house and provides consistent relational support that many residents have never experienced.
COMPENSATION & HOUSING
● $21/hour (approximately 12 hours/week)
● $25 monthly cell phone stipend
● Free on-site housing (private bedroom, shared bath), utilities, internet, and some meals included
● Estimated housing value: $12,000/year
