Description:

Lead and grow Rocky Mountain Church’s middle and high school ministry (grades 6–12), creating a gospel centered environment where students know Christ, grow in faith, and live on mission.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ministry Leadership & Vision

-Continue to develop and implement a clear vision and strategy for Elevate Youth Ministries aligned with the church’s vision/values.

-Build on a ministry culture that emphasizes discipleship, community, and mission.

-Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings that are

engaging, biblically grounded, and age-appropriate.

-Establish rhythms for spiritual growth including teaching, small groups, and prayer.

2. Discipleship & Spiritual Formation

-Equip students to grow in their relationship with Christ through intentional discipleship pathways.

Encourage students to engage in Scripture, prayer, and service.

-Identify and invest in student leaders.

Help students integrate into the broader life of the church. 3. Volunteer Recruitment & Development

-Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of adult volunteers. Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and spiritual support to leaders.

-Ensure all volunteers meet safety and child protection standards.

4. Programming & Events

-Plan and oversee youth events, retreats, camps, and outreach opportunities.

-Create environments that are both fun and spiritually meaningful.

-Coordinate calendar and logistics in collaboration with church staff and other Estes Park youth programs

5. Parent Partnership

-Communicate regularly with parents about ministry activities and spiritual development.

-Equip and encourage parents as the primary disciplers of their children.

-Foster relationships with families within the church.

6. Administration & Communication

-Manage ministry schedule, budget, and planning timelines.

-Utilize church communication tools (email, social media, etc.) to engage students and families. Qualifications Spiritual & Character A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Agreement with the theology and mission of Rocky Mountain Church (EFCA) A heart for students and a passion for discipleship. Demonstrates humility, teachability, and relational warmth.

Skills & Experience Experience in youth ministry or student discipleship (preferred).

Strong communication and teaching ability.

Ability to recruit, lead, and develop teams. Organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Expectations Maintain a consistent and visible presence in the lives of students.

Participate in staff meetings and ministry planning. Be available for key ministry gatherings (midweek, Sundays and special events).

Model a life of integrity, faithfulness, and spiritual leadership.
