Associate/Worship Pastor

I. Title of Position 

Associate/Worship Pastor

II. Overview

• This is a full-time pastoral role, sharing oversight with the lead pastor. Oversight will include teaching, training, and shepherding various lay/staff leaders within the church. A primary focus of this position will be on planning Sunday liturgy and worship. 

III. Reports To

Lead Pastor

IV. Relates closely with 

Lay and staff ministry leaders and volunteers

V. Leadership Responsibilities

• Plan Sunday liturgy and lead worship team
• Teach, train, equip other leaders
• Prayer and care for the church body
• Biblical counseling 
• Occasional preaching

VI. Primary Strengths and Competencies Required

• Meets the biblical qualifications of an elder
• Demonstrates a high level of alignment with The Well’s theology and philosophy of ministry
• Theologically trained
• Strongly values the relational connectedness necessary for ministry
• Willing to serve in a variety of manners

VII. Time and Pay

• Full-time
• $75-90,000
• 2% 403B Contributions
• Medical: Christian Medishare family plan or equal compensation for plan of your choice
