Position Overview: We are seeking an independent contractor, a detail-oriented, tech-savvy part-time Donor Services Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in processing donations and ensuring our valued donors are acknowledged and informed. As you gain experience in this position, you will also learn every aspect of the donation processing job, preparing you to fill in full-time when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Notify donors regarding gifts that did not process and provide necessary follow-up.
- Send acknowledgment letters to donors who contribute through charitable advised funds.
- Issue receipts to donors for their contributions.
- Import donations into our donation management platform accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Natural ability to learn and adapt to new technology and software tools.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with donors and team members.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in accounting or finance is beneficial.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets for data management and reporting.
- Previous experience in a non-profit organization is ideal, though candidates with strong educational backgrounds and relevant skills are encouraged to apply.
Work Environment:
- Initial training will be provided both in-person (near Boulder, CO) and remotely, with all subsequent work conducted remotely.
- Although, ideally, this person lives near Denver/Boulder, CO, meetings will primarily be held via Zoom, providing flexibility in your work schedule.
- No travel is required for this position.
- Average work week: ~20 hours
- Occasionally, a few times a year: ~40 hours
