Worship Pastor (Full-Time)

Location: Erie, Colorado (NW Denver, CO)

The Opportunity

The Living Stone Church is a young and growing church with a passion to see people encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and live on mission every day. We are intentionally building a healthy culture, strong teams, and a sustainable pace of ministry.

We are also entering a defining season—breaking ground this year on our permanent church home. The Worship Pastor will play a key role in shaping how our Worship Center looks, feels and functions for years to come.

We are seeking a leader marked by spiritual depth, emotional intelligence and musical excellence. This role is not about performance or platform-building, but about cultivating a worship culture that forms people and glorifies God.

The Role

The Worship Pastor will:

• Lead and shape the worship ministry of the church.
• Pastor and develop worship and production teams.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure theological and visionary alignment.
• Build systems and leaders that support long-term health and growth.

This is a staff pastor role with leadership influence beyond the stage.

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual & Pastoral Leadership

• Lead worship from a place of spiritual depth, prayer and humility.
• Shepherd worship team members through discipleship, encouragement and care.
• Model a healthy personal walk with Jesus and ministry rhythms.

Worship Leadership

• Plan and lead weekly worship gatherings in alignment with sermon themes and church vision.
• Select songs that are biblically sound, emotionally resonant and accessible to the congregation.
• Lead vocally and instrumentally (guitar preferred).
• Raise up and empower other worship leaders.

Team Development

• Recruit, train and develop volunteer worship and production teams.
• Create a culture of trust, excellence and spiritual growth.
• Run rehearsals and team environments that are efficient, encouraging and spiritually formative.

Leadership & Organization

• Oversee worship ministry systems, scheduling and communication.
• Partner with tech and production teams to support distraction-free worship.
• Manage worship ministry budget responsibly.
• Participate fully in staff culture, meetings and vision planning.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a clear calling to worship and pastoral ministry.
• Is emotionally healthy, self-aware and team-oriented.
• Loves developing people as much as leading songs.
• Thrives in a growing, adaptable church environment.
• Can bring excellence without ego and confidence without control.

Experience

• 5+ years leading worship in a church context preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and build culture.
• Strong vocal and musical leadership.
