LEAD PASTOR POSITION DESCRIPTION
Introduction
As we evaluate the great diversity of gifts and skills that are desired of a pastor, we have identified five areas that reflect our highest priorities and needs. While we can identify a certain skill set that we seek, we also feel that a “fit” – of vision, gifting and personality is critical to a positive relationship between the pastor, elders, staff and church attenders.
Lead Pastor Purpose
The Lead Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader of the church, providing vision, leadership, shepherding, and teaching God’s truth to the congregation. He serves as a shepherding God’s people by equipping leaders and overseeing the overall health and growth of the church.
