This role plays a critical part in shaping a student’s long-term faith, helping 2nd–5th graders move from simply attending church to
engaging in meaningful discipleship and community and building a strong Serve Team to support small groups.

 Experience in administration of children’s ministry specific to elementary (preferred)
 Ability to evangelize and disciple children
 Demonstrate a clear commitment to and love for children

 Partnering skills, organizational skills, self-starter, contributor, communication skills, and a servant leader
 Ability to recruit, motivate, equip, and manage Serve Team members
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Spiritual Leadership + Discipleship
 Provide leadership and vision for the 2nd–5th grade ministry, creating environments where students feel known, belong in
community, and grow in their faith
 Champion the spiritual formation of upper-elementary students through engaging teaching, meaningful small groups, and
intentional discipleship
 Develop clear pathways for students to connect into small groups and build relationships with trusted leaders
 Partner with the Kids Director and Middle School team to intentionally transition 5th graders into Student Ministries
Programming + Engagement
 Plan and lead engaging weekly experiences that balance fun, biblical depth, and age-appropriate challenge
 Oversee curriculum development, classroom preparation to ensure an intentional, easy-to-lead experience for Serve Team
members
 Create and lead special events, hangouts, & connection points that help students want to come to church and build community
 Occasionally teach or help lead large group environments for 2nd–5th grade
Serve Team Leadership
 Recruit, train, equip, and care for Serve Team members, helping them see their role as spiritual leaders and disciple-makers
 Lead onboarding and ongoing training, including weekly pre-service huddles that cast vision and provide practical coaching
 Coordinate Serve Team scheduling and provide clear, consistent communication
Collaboration, Care + Operations
 Provide care and support to students, families, and Serve Team members
 Maintain organized classrooms, resource rooms, and supplies that support an excellent ministry environment
 Assist with Sports Camp and key Kids Ministry events
 Supervise the Kids Assistant Coordinator | 2nd – 5th Grade
 Meet regularly with the Kids Director to pursue ongoing spiritual and professional growth opportunities
