Rock Solid Christian Academy (RSCA) is a private, Christian, University-Model® school serving K–10 students in Aurora, Colorado. Students attend classes on-campus three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and complete teacher-directed assignments at home the other two days. RSCA is committed to academic excellence, authentic Christian discipleship, and strong partnership with parents as the primary educators and disciplers of their children.

We are currently seeking a part-time Bible Teacher to begin January 2025, teaching 2–3 classes each week using RSCA’s in-house curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for a seminary student, pastor, or ministry leader seeking meaningful teaching experience while investing in the next generation of Christ-followers.

Position Overview

The Bible teacher will facilitate three teacher-directed courses:

  • Middle School Bible (Grades 6–8): Focused on the essentials of what Christians believe, foundational doctrines, and core elements of the Christian faith.
  • 9th Grade Bible / Identity in Christ (Multidisciplinary): A rich exploration of spiritual formation, worldview, and identity through Scripture, theology, and cultural engagement.

RSCA follows a conservative, evangelical, traditional mainline Protestant doctrinal framework, emphasizing the primary doctrines of salvation and Christian orthodoxy while leaving secondary and tertiary theological matters to the home and the local church.

Schedule is flexible with on-campus instruction required on M/T/Th. All courses include clear curriculum, lesson plans, and resources developed by RSCA.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Responsibilities

  • Teach 2–3 Bible classes on-campus weekly (January–May).
  • Implement RSCA’s Bible curriculum with fidelity, creativity, and theological clarity.
  • Foster meaningful discussion that helps students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
  • Provide clear teacher-directed assignments for home days that reinforce classroom instruction.
  • Develop strong relationships with students and encourage spiritual growth and Christlike character.
  • Utilize effective classroom management rooted in grace, truth, consistency, and respect.

Professional & Community Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly and clearly with parents as partners in discipleship.
  • Collaborate with RSCA faculty to maintain alignment with the school’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, integrity, and discretion.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, student events, and community life as appropriate for a part-time employee.
  • Actively support the spiritual life of RSCA and model a vibrant, authentic walk with Christ.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A personal, mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Agreement with RSCA’s doctrinal commitments and mission.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and disciple students.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong theological alignment with conservative, evangelical, Protestant tradition.

Preferred:

  • Seminary coursework or enrollment
  • Pastoral or ministry leadership experience
  • Prior teaching experience (middle or high school)
